As a full-time Billing Coordinator at Olympic Pharmacy and Healthcare Services, your responsibilities will include generating and reviewing durable medical equipment billing, processing claims, and collecting receivables. You need to be comfortable processing a high number of claims with accuracy and efficiency daily. In working with our patients and insurance agencies, you must have exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Additionally, our full line pharmacy makes filling and picking up prescriptions easy. We have a 3-lane drive-thru, medication synchronization, customized med packs, online ordering, and customized compounding medications.

Desired Job Requirements:
- Degree or certification in medical billing and coding
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in medical billing
- Proficient in navigating electronic medical records systems (e.g., Brightree)
- Knowledgeable in insurance verification and authorization processes
- ICD 10 knowledge
- Experience in billing commercial and Medi payers
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, Accreditation)
- Knowledgeable in Medicare and Medicaid regulations/policies
Essential Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Minimum 2 years of billing and/or collections experience, or related field
- Prior administrative or healthcare-related experience
- Documentation management
- Skilled and comfortable using technology and software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Dedicated to accuracy, professionalism and confidentiality
- Be present in the office 5 days/week (M-F), 8 hours/day
Daily Activities are subject to change based on departmental needs:
- Review sales orders & invoices for correct coding, charges, allowable, co-pays and supporting documentation prior to billing
- Submit billing to commercial and Medi payers
- Post insurance payments to patient accounts
- Review and document all correspondence regarding pending/denied claims
- Follow-up with payers, patients, and other appropriate parties to collect open billings in a timely manner and to ensure compliance with billing regulations
- Additional assigned projects, including audits, batching, and scanning EOBs
- Maintain compliances with all government and regulatory agencies
- Contribute to a positive work environment
