• Government Advocacy

  • The Chamber's Mission is to be Greater Gig Harbor's leading advocate for economic vitality, business growth and prosperity. Our Government Relations Committee as well as our Economic Development Committee work tirelessly to watch for local, county, state and federal issues that will impact our economic climate both in a positive and negative manner. As a Chamber our vision is advancing business and empowering community. We represent the businesses in the Greater Gig Harbor and will advocate on their behalf. This page includes updates on the legislative session, information on how to advocate and position letters that have been sent.

  • 2025 Chamber Advocacy

We are at the table so you can focus on your business.

  • The 2025 session kept us busy. There were a number of bills we worked with our elected officials to keep from moving forward. Unfortunately, there were many bills that did move forward and will have an impact on businesses. We continue to monitor the tax bills closely and have made the impacts of them known. Below are several letters that we signed on to either in support or opposition. In addition, our Government Relations Committee (GRC) has actively tracked all the bills this session and you will find the work below as well. If there is a specific bill you want to better understand, GRC member Gary Parker, is willing to help you out.
