Come Get Your Swig On…Summer Style! Celebrating the 8th year of CIDER SWIG, we’re changing it up with an opportunity to get some of your favorite regional ciders, in July! SUMMER SWIG a Pick-Up Edition will take place July 10th and 11th.
At its core, the CIDER SWIG – as with all community events, festivals, and fairs – is a people-gathering event, and the more people the better. And, while we are beginning to return to our post-pandemic daily lives, we are committed to taking important precautions to ensure that events as CIDER SWIG return safely to our community. The pandemic brought about the first Pick-Up Edition festival that featuring “tasting kits”. As we enter changed conditions in 2021, we are planning two CIDER SWIG's this year!
• SUMMER SWIG, July 10-11, will be a Pick-Up event with a Cider Sales Tent where you can stock-up on your favorite regional ciders!
• CIDER SWIG, September 25, will be more like the festival you know and love. We have again teamed with some of your favorite Northwest cider producers to create three amazing SUMMER SWIG: Pick-Up Edition Tasting Kit options, replete with tasting glasses, and more! And, no festival (even a pick-up), would be the same without food and music! So, to round out your SUMMER SWIG experience, we have partnered with local barbecue restaurant, BBQ2U, to provide awesome take-away meals options that you can order in advance and pick-up with your festival tasting kits.
The Cider Sales Tent will make its return at SUMMER SWIG 2021! Here, you will be able to purchase additional select regional ciders to take home and enjoy. And, we'll have music spinning throughout the day, to keep up the festive! Each kit includes a mix of unique PNW ciders, 2 custom tasting glasses, fun tchotchkes from participating cidermakers, a $5 discount voucher for Cider Swig 2021! ... and a few extras from local restaurants and merchants! The festival is a critical regional event, providing support to about a dozen area nonprofit organizations working in our watershed annually, we just had to find a way to do more to support them. So, while we won't be sipping and enjoying the day together at SUMMER SWIG, we hope you will join us in solidarity and enjoy a bit of festival cheer from the comfort of your own home. SUMMER SWIG Kit Pick-up:
• HomeGoods parking lot, Uptown Gig Harbor
• 11:30pm – 5:30pm, Saturday and Sunday, July 10th and 11th
You will select the pick-up day for your Cider Swig Tasting Kit and food order at check-out. When picking up your Tasting Kits, you will be required to present your government issued ID (must be 21+) and your ticket receipt. If you prefer to have your tasting kit(s) delivered, we have the following two options available for $9+ applicable fees per kit within a 5-mile radius of Gig Harbor.
