Speaker: Leslie Barstow, Manager, Community Relations - Port of Tacoma
Leslie A. Barstow is the Manager of Community Relations for the Port of Tacoma, a position she has held since 2016. In this role, she serves as a bridge between the citizens of Pierce County and the port, helping to educate them about the important economic role the port plays in both the county and state’s economy. She creates and manages special events, plans the port’s participation in community events, serves as the liaison to Chambers of Commerce and service groups such as Rotary and Kiwanis, works with educational facilities to promote maritime careers, and provides regular tours of the port to enhance the public’s ability to learn about their port.
A graduate of Eastern Washington University, Leslie resides in Federal Way with her husband Larry and dog Jack.
