Has your beautiful flowering quince become so large and out of control that it now blocks your view from the kitchen window? Is your favorite fragrant viburnum growing so far into your walkway that you are considering learning to do hurdles? Learn basic pruning techniques for a variety of shrub types. In addition, corrective pruning methods will be covered so that you can repair common pruning mistakes (remember the forsythia you sheared into a duck?). Bess Bronstein will provide you the know-how at the perfect time to do the proper fall pruning of your shrubs. Bess has over 30 years experience in arboriculture, landscape management and garden design. She was an instructor for the Edmonds Community College horticulture program for 28 years teaching courses on pruning and tree care, plant identification, diagnosis of plant pests, and soils.
