Heron’s Key, an amenity-rich Life Plan Community, is set to host two in-person Creatures of the Sea presentations with Harbor WildWatch at noon on Tuesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 17 at 4340 Borgen Blvd. in Gig Harbor. The special educational events will be in-person community presentations by Harbor WildWatch, an educational organization that focuses primarily on the Key Peninsula-Gig Harbor-Islands Watershed. It’s a fun way to taste the uplifting lifestyle of the senior living community, including its array of activities, volunteer opportunities, and social events. Attendees of the June 15 event will learn about sea life, such as the giant pacific octopus that grows up to 30 feet in length to the aggregating anemone that clones itself. While attendees of the June 17 experience get to discover the important role that predators like the orca whale and six-gill shark play in keeping the delicate ecosystem in balance. The presentations will highlight the local marine life surrounding Gig Harbor. In addition, people will learn about Heron’s Key’s active and maintenance-free lifestyle and the security of unlimited lifetime access to assisted living, skilled nursing, or memory care, if ever needed.
