Please join Con Brio Piano Studio and Miss Washington for an exciting evening of musical entertainment. The 2018 Con Brio Charity Benefit is scheduled for Thursday, June 21. The event, which is open to the public, kicks off at 7 pm at the Peninsula High School Auditorium. There is no admission fee. Donations of any size are requested. The benefit aims to bring the community together to fight two of the most pressing issues facing our society: cancer and childhood hunger. The reigning Miss Washington Nicole Renard will emcee and perform a dance number at the event, which will also feature live piano, electric violin, and steel pan performances. Queens for a Cure Supreme Queen Emilee Kate Chao will be among the many performers, along with Con Brio Piano Studio Owner Tarra Winslow, Gig Harbor Musician Maddy Dullum, and numerous other pianists from Con Brio Piano Studio. All funds raised through the 2018 Con Brio Charity Benefit will go to Food Backpacks for 4 Kids in Gig Harbor and to Queens for a Cure. Food Backpacks 4 Kids helps meet the nutritional needs of children, who might go hungry over weekends and school vacations when school lunches are not available. Queens for a Cure is a pageant program in Washington State that benefits the Susan G. Komen Puget Sound Chapter and is dedicated to helping fund research aimed at curing cancer.
