Support the Gig Harbor Arts Center Alliance at the March 11 City Council Meeting:
Monday night, March 11, at 5:30 PM, at the Gig Harbor City Council Meeting in the Gig Harbor Civic Center (city hall), the Gig Harbor Arts Center Alliance 501c(3), a Chamber member, will request the Gig Harbor City Council to take steps to consider formation of a Public Facilities District to build facilities for the arts in the City of Gig Harbor. The nonprofit group has conducted a $50K economic development feasibility study that clearly demonstrates that a comprehensive regional arts center, or smaller arts facilities, can produce significant benefit to the Gig Harbor business economy. Public investment in arts facilities would help stabilize future city budgets and would provide far-reaching educational and recreational benefits to the greater Gig Harbor community. This information will be shared in brief with the City Council at the meeting.
