September 26th in Tacoma at America’s Car Museum, you can drive-thru and pick-up your Cider Swig To-Go tasting kits, as well as delicious meal options to accompany your take home festival. And, to round out the experience, sounds of area bands and musicians that would have otherwise played live at the festival will set the backdrop.
Pick-up at this location will take place between 12 PM and 4 PM. All tasting kits, optional add-ons and to-go meal options must be pre-ordered. And, for a small fee, there will also be a limited delivery service in a 5-mile radius of the location.
This location will offer two delectable pre-order meal options from area food trucks and caterers. For the Tacoma location on Saturday, 9/26, Langostino Sushi Burrito presents a delicious Lobster Burrito and Boss Mama’s Kitchen a wonderful charcuterie box.
Beyond fun in a box, Cider Swig 2020 Drive-Thru Edition provides an amazing opportunity to help support the small businesses at the heart of every cidery and food purveyor, and your community all at the same time. The tasting kits come in two sizes, Micro Swig contains 8 regional handcrafted ciders (12 to 19 oz.), and the Cider with Kin Macro Kit has 13 ciders (12 to 25 oz.). Each kit comes with two 12 oz. customized stemless cider glasses, misc. tchotchkes, and a $5 discount voucher for Cider Swig 2021!
On the day, volunteers run the entire show, as they have since 2014. Locals are proud of what our community has to offer visitors from near and far, and this major fundraising event has poured thousands of dollars into projects aimed at improving the environmental health of the Puget Sound.
Proceeds are distributed annually through the Lu Winsor Memorial Environmental Grant program, which is jointly supported by Pierce County, Peninsula Light Co. and GGHF via Cider Swig proceeds.
