From remodeling an existing space to building a custom home from the ground up, a successful construction project is about more than the finished product. It also requires communication, careful planning, and a team clients can trust throughout the process. For more than ten years, Rainier Construction has built its business around providing just that.
Based in Gig Harbor and serving Pierce County, Kitsap County, and surrounding areas, Rainier Construction is a full-service general contractor working with both homeowners and business owners. With services ranging from residential remodels and additions to custom homes and commercial tenant improvements, their team combines quality craftsmanship with a collaborative approach designed to help clients confidently bring their vision to life.
What does your business do, who do you serve, and what inspired you to start it?
Rainier Construction is a full service general contracting company specializing in residential remodeling, additions, custom build homes, and commercial tenant improvement projects throughout Pierce County, Kitsap County, and surrounding areas. We serve homeowners and business owners who value quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and a collaborative construction experience.
Rainier Construction was founded over ten years ago on the belief that clients deserve both an exceptional finished product and outstanding service throughout the building process. What began with a commitment to quality workmanship and strong client relationships has grown into a trusted local construction company dedicated to helping clients bring their projects to life.
What sets your business apart, and what is something people might not already know about it?
What sets Rainier Construction apart is our commitment to transparency, communication, and delivering a quality experience from start to finish. We take the time to understand each client's goals, provide thoughtful pre-construction planning, and keep clients informed throughout every phase of the project.
Something people may not know is that while we partner with a trusted network of licensed subcontractors, our team also self performs select scopes of work when it provides better value or a higher quality finished product for our clients. This flexibility allows us to tailor our approach to each project's unique needs.
What are your main products or services, and is there a signature offering you are especially known for?
Rainier Construction provides a wide range of construction services, including residential remodels, additions, kitchen and bathroom renovations, crawl space and basement conversions, custom home builds, and commercial tenant improvements. As part of these services, we offer pre-construction planning and project management to help clients navigate the construction process.
Why did you join the Chamber, and how do you stay involved in or support the local community?
Rainier Construction joined the Gig Harbor Chamber to build meaningful relationships within the local business community and stay connected to the people and organizations that make Gig Harbor such a great place to live and work. We value the opportunities the Chamber provides to network, collaborate, and support fellow local businesses.
We stay involved through Chamber events such as the Maritime Gig Festival, and participation in the EPP Pillars business networking group. As a locally owned company, we believe in investing in our community and supporting the continued growth and success of the Gig Harbor area.
What do you love most about your work, and can you share a favorite customer story or proud moment?
What we love most about our work is helping clients transform their homes and guiding them through what can often be a complex and stressful process. Seeing a client's project come to life and knowing we have made a positive impact on their daily lives is incredibly rewarding.
One project that stands out involved a large tree that fell through a client's home during a storm, causing significant damage. Our team worked closely with the homeowners to navigate the restoration process, communicate every step of the way, and rebuild the home as quickly as possible. Seeing the relief and gratitude from the family when they were able to return to their home was a proud moment and a reminder of why we do what we do.
What’s next for your business, including any goals, upcoming events, or promotions you would like us to highlight?
As we look ahead, Rainier Construction is focused on continued growth, with an increased emphasis on custom home builds alongside the remodeling and renovation services we are known for. We are excited to continue helping homeowners with their projects while expanding our portfolio of custom construction projects.
We also look forward to staying active within the Gig Harbor business community through Chamber events and networking opportunities. Be sure to follow us on social media and visit our website to see our latest projects!
