Gig Harbor, WA March 7 — The Board of Directors of the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce is in support of the Peninsula School District #401 Bond on the April 24, 2018 ballot. The Capital Projects Bond will ensure all Peninsula students have access to safe, modern learning environments.
Every Peninsula student will benefit from the April 24 Bond through safety and security upgrades including repairs and upgrades to roofing, heating, ventilation, fire safety, building security, and ADA compliance. Select schools will have modernized classrooms, including Gig Harbor High School, Kopachuck Middle School, and Discover Elementary School. Artondale Elementary School will undergo major renovations while Peninsula High School will have portions renovated. These renovations, modernizations, and upgrades will better support children in the community and prepare them for further education and careers.
