I often begin with a preconceived image of the final piece\, only to find that as the subject emerges\, the painting takes on a voice of its own. At other times\, the mediums introduce new pathways\, and the painting becomes more expressive of my emotions. The interplay of the design elements and principles is my voice to communicate to the viewer. The viewer's experience is the final part of the artistic effort."\n \n\nOn Thursday\, October 8\, we're hosting a reception to celebrate Mary and invite the community in to meet the artist and explore her work.
