Painted QR Code Shows the Beauty Behind the Trend

By

Yiying Lu — the Australian-based artist famous for creating the iconic Twitter whale logo — has released a video of her latest art project, painting QR codes into plant life.

Called “Beautiful Traps,” Lu uses mostly watercolors to incorporate QR codes into paintings of women wearing hats that feature carnivorous plants.

The QR codes, which are functional and can be scanned by a mobile device, look stunning in her latest collection.
