How to use the Job Board

Finding qualified local part-time help is not easy. Here's a way to get lots of potentials so you can make an informed decision.

The Community Website for the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce offers a Job Board for its members and registered community users; here's how it works and how you can take advantage of it.

The Job Board is listed on the main menu of the website www.GigHarborChamber.com.

In order to create a listing you will first need to be registered on the chamber website. You do not have to be a member of the Chamber to register. However, members enjoy a lower listing rate. Job listings cost $30 for non-members and $20 for members for a 2 week listing. Payment can be made online in your profile or from the Job Board when you are ready to list a job.

To list a job in the Job Board:

  1. If you are already registered, login to the site, if not click on the "Register" button to create your own profile.
  2. Once you have a profile and are logged into the Community Site, click on "Membership Payments" in the sub menu just below the main menu. This will take you to your membership upgrade options. 
  3. The first option in the selection list will be the Job Board listing ($20 for members and $30 for non members), make this selection then scroll down to the "Upgrade" button and make payment.   You may choose to automatically upgrade your listing after the initial two weeks. 
  4. Upon completing your payment you will be prompted to to add your Job Board details for the open position as well as add keywords associated with the job in your Profile Edit window. 
  5. Keywords will make the search process easier for prospective job seekers on the Job Board. 
  6. After you have finished entering the Job Board details and the keywords click on the "Update" button.

Once your payment and Job Board details are complete your Job Board posting will be published for two weeks. You can check it out by clicking on the "Job Board" menu option in the main menu at the very top of the page.

Facebook Login Facebook Login: To make the login process easier we have a Facebook login button:

  1. Login to the Chamber Community Site with your username or e-mail and password.
  2. Next to your login profile image you will see the Facebook icon.
  3. Click on it to authorize the link between your accounts (once off).
  4. Next time you visit the Chamber Community Site all you need to do is click on the Facebook icon in the login panel and you're in.
