Presenter: Randy Spitzer, Edge Global Advisors

Topic: Strengths-Based Leadership

Conventional wisdom says that the key to improving our leadership skills to become a more "balanced" leader by concentrating on improving our weaknesses. But, conventional wisdom is wrong! Paradoxically, it turns out that those leaders spend their energy trying to improve on their weaknesses are the least effective leaders overall.

The key to great leadership, according the Gallup
organization, is two-fold: 1) encourage each leader to invest their time and energy in maximizing their leadership strengths, 2) make sure that your leadership team has a good balance of leadership strengths across the four key leadership domains: executing, influencing, relationship building and strategic thinking.
