Chamber University

The Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce brings you Chamber University!

CU delivers relevant and timely education to small business owners on important topics that businesses need!  CU consists of three components and is offered in partnership with the Small Business Administration's SCORE program, and Tacoma Community College.

1.  One-on-one meetings with volunteer SCORE mentors:

Meet once, or meet many times, with professionals who possess the knowledge and experience needed to help you start, grow, or improve your business.  This is a free service.  SCORE mentors are available at the Chamber office each Wednesday afternoon, with appointment times at 1p.m., 2p.m., and 3p.m.

Please contact the Chamber at (253) 851-6865 to schedule your appointment.  SCORE volunteers can also give you information for online mentoring as well as a list of local resources.

2.  Online Learning:

For those who prefer more flexibility and enjoy online, self-paced learning SCORE professionals offer FREE online workshops and webinars. Course topics cover everything business from A to Z.  Click the tab below for a complete list of online workshops and webinars!

3.  Workshops and classes:

If you prefer a more traditional learning environment in a classroom with an instructor and your peers, sign up for a BizEd workshop or classes at Tacoma Community College's Gig Harbor Campus.  Topics are chosen based on the needs and interests of Chamber members and are presented in a variety of formats by experts in the field of small business practice.  Find the quarterly Gig Harbor Continuing Education and PenMet Parks schedule in your mailbox or click the tab below for a current list of available classes.  Classes are offered to the public at reasonable prices, with a discount for Chamber members.  Contact TCC Gig Harbor at 253.460.2424 for additional information to register.
